Symposium: Legacies of Pauline Oliveros

On November 3–4, 2017, the Conservatory of Music of Brooklyn College will host the symposium “Legacies of Pauline Oliveros.” This symposium will honor the first anniversary of the passing of Oliveros, celebrating her pioneering practice and considering its place in the context of contemporary experimental music. The symposium will include concerts and scholarly presentations as well as one or more events for the general public.

Concert 1: Shapeshifter Lab @ 8pm
Performances by Anne Bourne, Seth Cluett, Viv Corringham, Andrew Deutsch/Carrier Band, David Grubbs, Ethan Hayden, Kristin Norderval, and a documentary film excerpt by Daniel Weintraub.
Saturday, November 4
Talks, panels, & workshop: 10am-5pm
