trust-that-surprise-ad MA and PhD programs in Critical Studies in Improvisation

We are excited to announce the new MA and PhD programs in Critical Studies in Improvisation, offered by the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation through the University of Guelph campus!

The programs feature three core courses (Core Concepts in Critical Studies in Improvisation, Research Practices, and Arts-Based Community-Making), research and teaching assistantship packages, internships with community organizations, and opportunities for students to learn, grow, and develop their practice in their field in a rigorous, energetic, and creative environment. PhD students will deepen their work through the Pedagogy Lab and Secondary Area courses. Both MA and PhD students will have the opportunity to develop independent projects.

The program expects to enroll 5 MA and 2-4 PhD students for Fall 2019.

Application deadline is February 15, 2019. Please encourage interested candidates to apply early, as there are several steps to the application and portfolio submission process. More details about the program and application requirements can be found at:  www.uoguelph.ca/arts/improv
