Thanks for joining us at IF 2021!

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank all those who were able to join us for IF 2021, the second iteration of IICSI’s all-day, all-night, online celebration of improvised arts. This international Festival, which took place on the weekend of August 13-15, celebrated the values at the core of our Institute: the power of happenstance discovery, improvisation’s ability to form a sense of community, and the assurance that improvising artists can, and will, find a way out of no way. Celebrating all art forms across geographic boundaries—from Northern Ireland to Iran to Australia—we are proud to have shared IF 2021 with several thousand attendees across over 50 countries.

Congratulation to the IF 2021 team for putting this event together: Ajay Heble (Artistic Director), Ed Sinclair (Tech Director), Rachel Collins (Operations Manager), Richelle Forsey (Design & Web Coordinator), Ariel Oleynikov (Admin Assistant), Marie Zimmerman (Community Engagement), and Sam Boer (Public Relations). IICSI would like to thank the many incredible community partners that helped make IF 2021 such a distinctive, eclectic affair; the radio stations across North America that broadcast our Festival over the airwaves; and our wonderful sponsors for all their support (Musagetes, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Government of Ontario, the Art Gallery of Guelph, and the Office of the Vice-President (Research) and the College of Arts at the University of Guelph).
