The IICSI Improvising Spaces Shoptalk + Module 2 workshop will focus on current trends and innovator developments in Network Music. Sarah Weaver will give a virtual talk from New York on her Network Arts practice, while Kenneth Fields will discuss his involvement with developing Artsmesh—the live network music performance app.

Weaver and Fields lead the way in the development of Network Music and Art. Shoptalk + Module 2 will provide the opportunity for MUN Music faculty, students, and interested community members to explore these current trends in live performance via the internet.

Following the presentations, will be an Artsmesh online improvisation session with musicians in Sante Barbara, Vancouver and St. John’s (and maybe more).
