Sounding the City 003: Guelph – launch & publication
September 12, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Free
Project launch and publication: Wednesday, September 12, 5pm-7:30pm
Sounding the City is an ongoing project dedicated to re-imagining the urban soundscape through site-specific installations and acoustic interventions. These installations emerge from their surroundings and occur in the environments themselves. They invite our ears to focus on the music of the places we find ourselves in, and draw our gaze towards characteristics of urban environments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Jen Reimer and Max Stein are the 2018 Improvisers-in-Residence, a joint initiative of the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation and Musagetes.
