ISIM improv performance still AACM: The Next Fifty Years (ISIM performance)

The International Society for Improvised Music (ISIM) hosted the panel discussion, AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians): The Next Fifty Years with active AACM members Douglas R. Ewart, Ann E. Ward and Khari B. The panel was moderated by Brian Lefresne, a PhD candidate at the University of Guelph. The AACM members concluded the panel discussion with an improvised performance.

Performance poet Khari B was the out-going chair of the AACM, and his work bridges the literary and musical arts. Ann Ward is the current director of the AACM School of Music and a renowned composer, pianist, vocalist and percussionist. Douglas R. Ewart is active as a composer, improviser, sculptor and maker of masks and instruments. Ewart was the 2015-16 Improviser-in-Residence for the IICSI, Musagetes, and the Laurier Centre for Music in the Community.
