Refuge
From February – May 2016, a diverse group of youth worked with artist facilitators: Mosa McNeilly, Brent Rowan, Joni NehRita, Truth Is…, and Kevin Sutton, to explore and express the concept of freedom as it related to their lives.
Conceptually and physically centered in Guelph Ontario’s Heritage Hall, Refuge was an arts-based inquiry into the history and ongoing significance of the underground railway in Canada and the struggles and legacies of freedom seekers.
