Centre d'artistes Vaste et Vague Founded in 1990, Vaste et Vague is a self-managed artists’ center dedicated to the dissemination and exploration of current active art at the regional, provincial, national and international levels. Located in the heart of the Baie-des-Chaleurs, the Centre offers an exhibition space, workshops, specialized equipment and an artists’ residence.
Since its founding, the Centre has invited the local population, visitors, and school groups to attend events, exhibitions and openings free of charge. Every year, the Centre welcomes various artists for research and creative stays.
Since 2018, the Vast and Vague Satellite Office in Percé has been mandated to develop innovative projects and support production and dissemination of contemporary art in the eastern Gaspé Peninsula.
