Recipes for Life Cookbook

In 2015/16, IICSI and partners DodoLab and Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington worked together on a project called “Recipe for Life.” Recipe for Life brought a group of newcomers and other Guelph residents together to eat delicious food, to appreciate the role of food in their lives and identities, and to discuss ways that improvisation can help in adapting to a new culture, as well as the links between improvisation, cooking, and culture. The collaboration resulted in the creation of a cookbook

The Recipes for Life Cookbook is now published and available for purchase, or can be downloaded from the IICSI website by clicking the download link to the right.

Recipes for Life was funded and supported by the Ontario Arts Council and Immigrant Services Guelph Wellington with additional project support thanks to the IICSI at the University of Guelph, United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin and GWSA Community Support Services.
