Refuge

From February – May 2016, a diverse group of youth worked with artist facilitators: Mosa McNeilly, Brent Rowan, Joni NehRita, Truth Is … and Kevin Sutton, to explore and express the concept of freedom as it related to their lives.

Conceptually and physically centered in Guelph Ontario’s Heritage Hall, Refuge was an arts-based inquiry into the history and ongoing significance of the underground railway in Canada and the struggles and legacies of freedom seekers.
