Mauricio Martinez

Mauricio Martinez is a PhD student in Literary/Theatre Studies in English at the University of Guelph. His dissertation explores aspects of mourning in Shakespearean tragedy, but his other scholarly interests include discourses of slavery and abolition in late eighteenth-century literature, law and literature, and popular culture. Mauricio also has a multi-media background stemming from his time in the Creative Communications Program at Red River College in Winnipeg, and his interests in this area include visual/graphic design, photography, and experimental documentary.
