Call for Students! Fine Arts at the U of Regina

The University of Regina is now accepting applications for graduate degrees in Fine Arts (music, theatre, film, visual arts and interdisciplinary programs). The presence of the IICSI site at the University of Regina (The Regina Improvisation Studies Centre) means that students with an interest in improvisation studies will be able to focus on areas such as hip-hop and/or popular music (with the incredible Interactive Media and Performance DJ/Beatmaking Labs and Dr. Charity Marsh), improvisation and vocals (with soprano Dr. Helen Pridmore), soundscapes and Canadian music (with Dr. Pauline Minevich), audio, contemporaneity performance and/or socially engaged art practices (with Dr. Rebecca Caines), interactive audio (interdisciplinary with Dr. David Gerhard in Computer Science), and theatre (with Kathleen Irwin). The area of Creative Technologies is also growing. Dr. Megan Smith has recently joined Creative Technologies with a speciality in data visualization, new media and physical computing in the arts.
