Dr. Claire Carter’s current research examines the relationship between movement/exercise and the embodiment of gender within the changing dynamics of queer and trans communities in Canada. She teaches courses on feminist methodologies, queer theory, and popular culture and some of her work has been published in Queer Studies in Media and Popular Culture, Leisure Studies, Sexualities, and the Journal of Gender Studies.
