Dr. Mark V. Campbell leads the FCAD Forum for Cultural Strategies at Ryerson University and is Adjunct Professor at the RTA School of Media. Mark is a former Banting Postdoctoral Fellow, active D.J. and advocate for the Arts. His research interests include digital archiving, Afrodiasporic theory and culture, Canadian hip hop cultures, DJ culture and afrosonic innovations. Mark is founding director at Northside Hip Hop Archive, Canada’s first national hip hop archive and an active Board Member of the Ontario Arts Council. Mark has published widely with essays appearing in the Southern Journal of Canadian Studies, Critical Studies in Improvisation, Souls: A Critical Journal of Black Politics, Culture and Society and the CLR Journal of Caribbean Ideas.
