Thinking Spaces: The Reading Group and Speaker Series is pleased to present a listening and discussion session by IICSI Researcher and U of G Professor Dr. James Harley and IMPR Graduate Students for the Interactive Improvisation in Times of Isolation project titled: “Improvising and Listening.”

Thinking Spaces presents Joel Bakan for a talk on his new film and book, The New Corporation on Friday, November 6th from 3-4:30 pm (EST).

IICSI’s Improvisation Reading Group and Speaker Series, Thinking Spaces, is now exploring virtual spaces, with the series continuing online through the fall 2020 semester.

IF 2020, a 24-hour online improvisation festival, featuring 100+ unique, original performances by 150+ international artists of all disciplines, will take place this August.

We at the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation want to express our solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and with the protesters around the world who have been standing up against police killings and systemic and structural anti-Black racism that causes them to occur.

Work is underway on our ImprovLab and the University of Guelph College of Arts MacKinnon Building renewal and expansion!

On Friday, January 24th IICSI is thrilled to co-present this year’s Improviser-in-Residence, Marianne Trudel at The Guelph Lecture—On Being 2020.
